This is running on a fresh install of Windows 10 Professional version 2004 build 19041.450. Whenever I start MediaMonkey, I get a UAC prompt from the system that MediaMonkey wants Administrator rights and it's asking for my admin password. The title of the UAC prompt is "MediaMonkey COM Elevator". The previous version that I had, 4.1.28.1905 did not do this. So what is it doing that it needs admin rights? If I deny it, it keeps asking which is highly annoying.This system is partitioned using the Unix philosophy: Do work on a limited account. Only use the admin account for admin tasks (installing/modifying/removing software, fixing problems, running backups, etc...). So I am not going to keep giving it admin rights every time it asks. Post by Peke » Sat Aug 29, 2020 5:50 am Hi,Unless any other app change MMW needs COM only once to register Rights for the user to be able to use COM Scripting and TaskBar player.If you are so annoyed with that prompt or it repeats you can always install portable version that do not access Registry or any other Windows system resources. Also benefit of Portable install in non user protected folder is taht you can start it from whatever account you use and continue where you left. I did some digging into the program and I found that everytime I mess with Tools > Options > OS Integration, and make changes there, I get the UAC prompt. So I turned something on, then back off, then saved it. It asked for it, I gave it. Now it's not asking again. This is even after subsequent program and system restarts. So it needs the admin privileges
