Hi,I've been using voicemeeter to record a podcast over google hangouts for probably over a year now, and it has worked great. I have a very simple set up of running my mic and my PC audio through voicemeeter, then recording the output in audacity. In the past month or so though i've been running into an issue where if voicemeeter is open and running, and i go into a google hangout no one can hear me. The correct microphone is selected but for whatever reason hangouts can't get audio from it(for the past year+ having the same mic selected in both worked flawlessly). If i turn voicemeeter off, it starts working. (also sometimes it suddenly DOES work if i disconnect and call the person back over and over). Has anyone run into this? I think it might be a hangouts or windows 10 issue as those are the only things that have changed in my set up. If anyone has a fix or work around I'd love to know what it is, thanks! Post by Vincent Burel » Thu Jun 20, 2019 5:54 am Could you send a screenshot of the VBCABLE_ControlPanel of the virtual I/O where you connect google hangout ? the only explanation i see now, is that google hangout ask for big audio buffer (> 2048 samples) and the virtual I/O cannot provide such buffer size, even configured with 7168 sample buffer size... You may try to change the Max latency of the cable (ex : 16384) and set latency to the same (16384). Hello,I am currently using the voicemeeter potato beta version. For now Im just using it as an audio repeater for my mic, virtual inputs, vb-cable and vb-cable a+b.Now what I am wondering is what kind of latency in ms I am getting when using voicemeeters virtual inputs together with the vb-cables. I read about how to optimize latency etc. but I didnt quite understand everything written. And I dont understand if the buffers in voicemeeter applies to both hardware and virtual inputs or just the hardware inputs, meaning that virtual inputs would have a slightly lower latency?Im also wondering if its true that if I double the sample rate and also double the buffers I will get the same latency but with higher quality?I have set all playback and recording devices to 48khz/24bit and the max latency on all vb-cables to 2048 smp. If I have calculated it all correctly the maximum possible latency I could receive with my current settings is 47,66 ms because (80+160+2048)/48000 = 0,04766. But correct me if Im wrong. Then I set it's output to go directly to the soundcard. I used the group channel EQ to EQ the soundcard. It worked just fine but of course it didn't affect other Windows programs and the desktop. But it was good enough for minor corrections of the monitors. For the regular track work, I just used regular tracks within that group. And to render, I disabled the group FX first. Before that, though, I bought a hardware EQ and just EQ'ed the analog output of my soundcard before it went into my amplifier and speakers.
