I think this driver is a generic driver from that I got to fix some issues with the touchpad not working for a sec after typing on Windows 10. However, I can't seem to find the generic drivers on their site anymore. I looked at but the download links are missing now. I see them on other sites though when searching Google. You might have to update your drivers. My issue was that the default mouse hardware added by VmWare Fusion or Workstation was not supporting scrolling in Ubuntu and other Linux distros, while the cursor was moving. The issue seemed at first to be erratic scrolling, slow scrolling (which lead me here), while in fact, it was a different problem. This thread help me fixed it. moving evdev to a later "init" order, the scrolling came back
