Earlier in 2023, Tablet Command added support for In AppAudio. The features allows users to access multiple audio streams and maintain situational awareness, even while away from the radio. “Tablet Command makes several technologies available through one platform,” says Chief Mike Taylor of the Sacramento City Fire Department. “This is another example of that. Having everything at our fingertips really keeps things simple for us.” Within Tablet Command, users can group streams logically and make them easy to navigate with categories like Dispatch, Command, Tactical, and Air to Ground. Users can play, pause, and adjust the volume of each steam independently to make sure they’re getting the right information without unnecessary distractions.Any MP3 or MP4 audio stream with a distinctive link will work, and Tablet Command’s TC Streaming service allows departments to initiate new high performance, low latency streams. Support from TC Streaming allows uses to get consistent access to the audio information they need.“I’m excited about the new capability,” continued Taylor, “and even more excited that Tablet Command is committed to constant evolution. Their team’s connection to the firefighting community and willingness to adapt to our needs is their biggest strength. I know they’ll keep up with evolving agency needs. They’re a trusted partner for us because you can just tell they’re in it for the long haul.”To add existing streams, like Broadcastify audio to your account, please reach out to [email protected] and our team will help configure them for you. Repair system files Zainab Falak/SlashGear If none of the above fixes have worked, it's possible that some essential system files have become corrupted or damaged. An easy way to repair these files is the System File Checker (SFC), a built-in troubleshooting tool in Windows. It works by scanning your system for corrupted or missing system files and attempting to repair them automatically. To use SFC:AdvertisementPress Win + R to open Run.Type "regedit" in Run and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter keys together. This will launch Command Prompt as an administrator.Once the Command Prompt is open, type "sfc /scannow" and press Enter. Am not sure which way to proceed forward. I was previously using unrooted stock 5.6.2.0 ROM with Google Playstore, NovaLauncher, and LauncherHijack. I found that my experience was laggy, and switching between applications like Google Docs and a PDF reader meant that something would have to be reloaded into RAM.I was wondering if I should use ToolBox to remove the Amazon bloat to make my tablet faster and multitasking more efficient without having to reload apps into RAM?Or would installing Lineage OS be the way to go? I am slightly reluctant about installing Lineage OS because it seems more complicated. My essential apps are Google Docs, Foxit PDF reader, Xodo PDF reader, Google Drive, Dropbox, Firefox, Edge, Chrome, Moon Reader +, VLC, and Microsoft Office. Thanks for your advice. Personally, I would go for LineageOS and get away from FireOS. Trust me, LineageOS will show the true meaning of a great experience on your tablet. But, if you don't want to make the switch or you aren't ready I would recommend downloading system apps remover and uninstalling everything from Amazon that you don't want. However be careful as an update to the tablet may be able to unroot your tablet (I'm not sure that it would happen but it could). So the first thing to do if you are staying on FireOS is to remove the packages responsible for OTAs. If you need a guide on doing so please follow these steps:Open the Toolbox.Click on the ADB Shells tool. Then click on Standard Shell.in the terminal type the following commands (pressing ENTER after each command): After executing the command above please look at your tablet and Grant root access to Shell before continuing. You will know if you are root if your $ turns to a # in the terminal. pm uninstallComments
