To Switch B over link L1 and to Switch C over link L2. The Layer 2 interface on Switch C that connects directly to Switch B is in the blocking state. Figure 11. BackboneFast Example After Indirect Link Failure. If link L1 fails, Switch C cannot detect this failure because it is not connected directly to link L1. However, because Switch B is directly connected to the root switch over L1, it detects the failure, elects itself the root, and begins sending BPDUs to Switch C, identifying itself as the root. When Switch C receives the inferior BPDUs from Switch B, Switch C assumes that an indirect failure has occurred. At that point, BackboneFast allows the blocked interface on Switch C to move immediately to the listening state without waiting for the maximum aging time for the interface to expire. BackboneFast then transitions the Layer 2 interface on Switch C to the forwarding state, providing a path from Switch B to Switch A. The root-switch election takes approximately 30 seconds, twice the Forward Delay time if the default Forward Delay time of 15 seconds is set. BackboneFast reconfigures the topology to account for the failure of link L1. Figure 12. Adding a Switch in a Shared-Medium Topology. If a new switch is introduced into a shared-medium topology, BackboneFast is not activated because the inferior BPDUs did not come from the recognized designated switch (Switch B). The new switch begins sending inferior BPDUs that indicate it is the root switch. However, the other switches ignore these inferior BPDUs, and the new switch learns that Switch B is the designated switch to Switch A, the root switch. EtherChannel Guard You can use EtherChannel guard to detect an EtherChannel misconfiguration between the switch and a connected device. A misconfiguration can occur if the switch interfaces are configured in an EtherChannel, but the interfaces on the other device are not. A misconfiguration can also occur if the channel parameters are not the same at both ends of the EtherChannel. If the switch detects a misconfiguration on the other device, EtherChannel guard places the switch

I Commands This chapter describes the Cisco NX-OS virtual port channel (vPC) commands that begin with I. import interface To import an interface configuration to a switch profile, use the import interface command. import interface { ethernet slot / port | port-channel channel-no } Syntax Description ethernet Specifies the Ethernet interface configuration to import to the switch profile. slot / port Chassis or slot number and the port or slot number. The slot can be from 1 to 255 and the port can be from 1 to 128. port-channel Specifies the EtherChannel interface configuration to import to the switch profile. channel-no EtherChannel number. The range is from 1 to 4096. Command Default None Command Modes Switch profile configuration mode Command History Release Modification 5.0(2)N1(1) This command was introduced. Usage Guidelines When no option is specified with the import command, an empty switch profile is created. You can then selectively add the configuration that is needed to be synchronized with the peer switch. You can import a switch profile based on the set of commands that you want to import. The following three ways can be used to import commands that were added using the configuration terminal mode: 1. Add selected commands to the switch profile. 2. Add supported commands that were specified for an interface. 3. Add supported system-level commands. When you import commands to a switch profile, the switch profile buffer must be empty. Use the commit command to complete the import process and move the configuration into the switch profile. Because configuration changes are not supported during the import process, if new commands are added before entering the commit command, the switch profile remains unsaved and the switch remains in the switch profile import mode (config-sync-sp-import). You can remove the added commands or use the abort command to stop the import. Unsaved configurations are lost if the process is aborted. New commands can be added to the switch profile after the import is complete. Examples This example shows how to import the Ethernet interface configuration to a switch profile named s5010 on switch 1 of the peer: switch# config sync Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z. switch(config-sync)# switch-profile s5010 Switch-Profile started, Profile ID is 1 switch(config-sync-sp)# show switch-profile s5010 buffer switch-profile : s5010 ---------------------------------------------------------- Seq-no Command ---------------------------------------------------------- switch(config-sync-sp)# import interface ethernet 1/1 switch(config-sync-sp)# show switch-profile buffer switch-profile : s5010 ---------------------------------------------------------- Seq-no Command ---------------------------------------------------------- 1 interface Ethernet1/1 switch(config-sync-sp-import)# commit Verification successful... Proceeding to apply configuration. This might take a while depending on amount o f configuration in buffer. Please avoid other configuration changes during this time. Same games played on the original Nintendo Switch work just fine on the new Switch Lite. However, if you want to play any Switch games that don't support handheld mode, like Super Mario Party, then you'll need to connect a compatible wireless controller to play those games. The Switch Lite works with many of the existing Switch accessories. This includes Joy-Cons and the Pro Controller. If you like to play multiplayer games or party games, you'll likely need to pair external Joy-Cons to the system to play. The Switch Lite is smaller and built a little differently from the larger Switch, so some Switch accessories won't work. For instance, it's better to use a dedicated Nintendo Switch Lite case rather than using one for the larger system.Nintendo Switch Online and local co-op with a Switch LiteNintendo Switch Lite (Image credit: Nintendo)You can still access Nintendo Switch Online content and participate in online multiplayer gaming with the Switch Lite. As a matter of fact, if you have a friend who owns one of the larger Switch consoles and you purchase the Switch Lite, you'll be able to connect your devices and play local co-op games. Pretty nifty, eh?Can I transfer my Switch game saves to the Switch Lite?Anyone planning on shifting from either of the larger console versions to the smaller gaming system can breathe a sigh of relief. You can transfer your game saves and downloads from one Switch device to another, whether it be the original Switch to the New Switch V2, the Switch V2 to the Switch Lite, or any other order.Need some help? Of course, some Switch games don't work with amiibo, so whether or not you want to use them will depend on which game you're playing (but you already knew that). What are your thoughts? Are you going to purchase the Nintendo Switch Lite? Received on the root port of the switch, the switch also forwards it with an updated message to all attached LANs for which it is the designated switch. If a switch receives a configuration BPDU that contains inferior information to that currently stored for that port, it discards the BPDU. If the switch is a designated switch for the LAN from which the inferior BPDU was received, it sends that LAN a BPDU containing the up-to-date information stored for that port. In this way, inferior information is discarded, and superior information is propagated on the network. A BPDU exchange results in these actions: One switch in the network is elected as the root switch (the logical center of the spanning-tree topology in a switched network). For each VLAN, the sw itch with the highest switch priority (the lowest numerical priority value) is elected as the root switch. If all switches are configured with the default priority (32768), the switch with the lowest MAC address in the VLAN becomes the root switch. The switch priority value occupies the most significant bits of the bridge ID, as shown in Table 20-1. A root port is selected for each switch (except the root switch). This port provides the best path (lowest cost) when the switch forwards packets to the root switch. The shortest distance to the root switch is calculated for each switch based on the path cost. A designated switch for each LAN segment is selected. The designated switch incurs the lowest path cost when forwarding packets from that LAN to the root switch. The port through which the designated switch is attached to the LAN is called the designated port. All paths that are not needed to reach the root switch from anywhere in the switched network are placed in the spanning-tree blocking mode. Bridge ID, Switch Priority, and Extended System ID The IEEE 802.1D standard requires that each switch has an unique bridge identifier (bridge ID), which controls the selection of the root switch. Because each VLAN is considered as a different logical bridge with PVST+ and rapid PVST+, the. hi guyz i wana ask a question is liunx secure aginst IP Spoofing ? and programs like switch sinffer thnx m8s :) profoX: : I don't understand the question.
