SolarWinds added this feature in version 15.3 some six short months after my review, in January 2022, maybe they were listening, who knows. The UI was the only change though, all other improvements were as a consequence to the move from Java.However, development has been somewhat limited since with most of the focus to make the new web interface stable and fixing bugs.There have been another four CVE’s, or publicly disclosed security flaws since my last report. If you have a similar question you can start a new discussion in this forum. We use Serv-U in order to move large files to a specific location. We break up the files by folders and usernames. So each user moves a different set and size of files. I've noticed that within the Management console I can see data transferred by user, however, this is only reported between the time you run and when the last time the server/service was restarted. Is there any way to be able to do historical reporting to trend out how much data is moving to the destination via Serv-U on a monthly basis? I can't find anything, but wanted to check in case I'm overlooking something. Unfortunately, the current release of Serv-U does not have the audit/reporting functionality that you're looking for.There is an alternative but it would require some work. You could send the data you're looking to collect to a file using the "Log" mechanism of Serv-U. Log files can be configured at the server, domain, group, or user levels. You can configure a log to automatically rotate on a monthly basis and even provide a custom file name for each month (e.g., "%M-%Y.log"). Once you have the historical log file, you would have to write a custom program/script to pull the results you desire out of it. Thanks for the information. This gives me what I need to get started. Serv-U does contain a mechanism for tracking transfer statistics, it's not a full-blown audit/reporting tool, but it may get the job done without having to write your own script to pull data out of the log files.Take a look at the "User & Group Statistics" tab under the "Domain Activity" section. Here, you can view historical "Transfer Statistics" on a per user or group basis. If all your users are under the same group, then this may contain the data you're looking for. Unfortunately, Serv-U does not have an automated process to save these stats on a monthly basis. Therefore, you would have to set a reminder for yourself to save the statistics (as a csv file) and then reset them based on your monthly rotation. Thank you.
