You can read the shutter count from CS5. Open a raw shoot, go to file information, then go to raw data. In the searchbox type imagenumber. Slowly scrool down until you see what is highlighted in yellow, which will show your shutter count. What software did you use to upload the original images from the camera and/or memory card to your computer?I downloaded the two files and used Phil Harvey's ExifTool via the ExifToolGUI interface to look at the two files and also see the shutter count going from 62703 for the first image to 1 for the second image. I also see the same thing using PhotoME to check the shutter count.I am wondering if the program and/or software that is uploading is the one that is modifying and/or incorrectly reading the shutter count and thus truncating it to a 8-bit number (obviously being 1 when the rollover past 62703 happens). Upload programs have to read the card and then write the file to disk and all seem to modify the Exif Data in order to time stamp when the file was transfered.I looked at two of my cameras that have more than 62703 shutter clicks (a D3 and a D3s) and both of them keep on counting (D3 at 84,200 and D3s at 78,130) however I use Nikon Transfer and put the card in a Lexar card reader.Do you have any other method of uploading a new image that you just recently captured rather than your normal way to see if it is the upload program that is causing
