The tournament, referred to as the “Peewee World Championships” is annually attended by more than 2,250 competitors from over 15 countries and is the oldest and most prestigious youth hockey tournament in the world. The Quebec Peewee International Hockey Tournament is the centerpiece of the third largest outdoor festival in the world; the annual Quebec City “Winter Carnival.” The Winter Carnival draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to this winter wonderland and the tournament alone has drawn over 5,000,000 spectators in it’s 65 year history. Proceeds from this historic youth hockey event benefit the “Patron Roc-Amador” youth organization. By “USA Hockey” age classifications, the Quebec Peewee Tournament is a Pee-Wee tournament. For the most part, teams from around the world send only their best, biggest and oldest players that match the birth year limitation of the tournament. Why is this tournament so special? Next year, the 64th edition of the Quebec Peewee Tournament will mark the 64th year that Hershey has been honored with an invitation; the longest consecutive attendance streak of any team or organization in the world! Invitations are extended to youth hockey organizations that have established their strong commitment to the youth of their community and to the highest level of sportsmanship and hockey performance.
