Therefore, most reloaders will only consider weighing their gunpowder in grains.Exploring this further, weighing in grains is much easier than weighing in grams as one gram is equivalent to over 15 grains. So if you only need to weigh a very small amount (which is very common) then measuring 4 grains of powder would give you a much more accurate and precise result than measuring one-fourth of a gram. How to take care of your powder scaleIf you want your scale to continue working for years to come, you’ll need to ensure that you are taking proper care of it. This includes regular maintenance and safe storage which will protect it from damage and wear and tear. The more wear and tear your scale accumulates, the more likely it is to lose accuracy. Here are some tips on how to best look after your powder scale:When not in use, store your scale in a protective case or box. Some scales come with covers or cases, however, if yours doesn’t, you can simply store it in a big enough storage box.Wherever you choose to store it, ensure it is in a place where it will not be knocked over or continually bumped into.Clean your scale after use either by wiping it down with a dry paper towel or with a mild soap and water solution.Don’t flip your scale over and shake it to dislodge powder grains as this could permanently damage the load cell.Clean your powder pan to prevent residue build-up with a drop of liquid soap, then rinse and let dry.One last word of advice, read the instruction manual before setting up and using your scale for the first time. Although this may seem obvious, if you are new to reloading or this is your first digital scale, make sure you are clear on how to operate it beforehand. This will prevent any potential accidents or damages from a lack of understanding. So, What is the best powder scale on the market? As you can see, all of the scales I reviewed have pros and cons. Support What Are Bitmap Images? A bitmap is a type of memory organization or image file format used to store digital images. The term bitmap comes from the computer programming terminology, meaning just a map of bits, a spatially mapped array of bits. Now, along with pixmap, it commonly has a similar concept to that of a spatially mapped array of pixels. Raster images in general may be referred to as bitmaps or pixmaps, whether synthetic or photographic, in files or memory. Bitmap images refer to those described by pixels - squares of color arranged in a grid. View more about bitmap images › What Are Vector Graphics? Vector graphics is the use of polygons to represent images in computer graphics. Vector graphics are based on vectors, which lead through locations called control points or nodes. Each of these points has a definite position on the x and y axes of the work plane and determines the direction of the path; further, each path may be assigned various attributes, including such values as stroke color, shape, curve, thickness, and fill. View more about vector graphics › Why Use Vector Images? An image does not have any structure: it is just a collection of marks on paper, grains in film, or pixels in a bitmap. While such an image has its way, it has some limits. If the image is magnified to an extent, its artifacts will appear. The halftone dots, film grains and pixels become apparent. Images of sharp edges become fuzzy or jagged. See, for example, pixelation. To the contrary, a vector image does not have the same problem. Edges are represented as a mathematical lines or curves, and they can be magnified thousands of times — until the precision of the numbers becomes an issue.View more about the uses of vector images › In computer graphics, image tracing, raster-to-vector conversion or vectorization is the conversion of raster graphics into vector graphics. Vectorization starts with an image which can be vectorized manually by hand or be done automatically by various computer pograms.View more about image tracing › What Is SVG? SVG is a vector editing software for 2D graphics that are dependent on XML and supports interaction and animation. In XML text files, SVG pictures and their functionality are described. Because SVG files are simply XML files, they may be modified with any text editor. SVG files are supported by all current web browsers, and their markup may be rendered by them. What Is PDF? Adobe invented the PDF data file to represent documents in a way that is independent of the software, program, or hardware on which they were written. A PDF file may be any size, including any
