Just bought a new MacBook Pro and everything went through fine with Migration Assistant except my iTunes. Is here a better way that will allow me to get my tunes on to my new Mac? If you still have your old phone then connect it to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases (that should copy PDFs and/or epubs in the iBooks app, not just actual ibooks), and if using a Mac with iBooks on it then do File > Move Books From iTunes in it - restoring your old phone's backup should then be able to copy them onto the new phone (the restore looks to pick them up from your computer's iTunes/iBooks library), or you could just sync them to your new phone How to copy iBooks files from my old iPhone to the new one?

Spent all day updating the bloody phone and then connected to my MacBook Pro and it did an update for the iPhone AGAIN and it won't even recognise the phone is connected!!! In the end I had a long talk to the Apple helpdesk twice and they told me it wasn't possible. I had to update to Catalina or at least to Mojave. Older iMac than yours tho, (High Sierra, (10.13.6, mid 2010, iTunes 12.8.2.3). iMac saw my 6s but doesn't see my iphone 8 (running latest ios) - and I have tried everything. Old imac's it seems are not compatible with "newer" iphones (even my 8). System information and Photos, btw, see the iphone 8 just fine. Just not iTunes.My early 2011 MacBook, however, see's the iphone 8 just fine, even with a slightly older version of itunes (12.8.0.150).
