My a say some words on that. I have the same problem, but on my side it worked with my old Nissan LEAF. I got a newer LEAF 2 weeks ago and with this car, Nissan is unsing the newer Telematic system (Nissan Connect), the old one is Nissan Connect EV. It also appears that vehicles that needed that particular update had to be taken into the dealership to be updated. As far as updating in general, if there is an update available, a notice will pop up on your screen, so you probably have the most current version.
