They can be converted to numeric 1 and 0 by applying anydo-nothing arithmetic operator like +0, *1 or double unary minus[-(-(x))=-(-x)=x].

My Dad is trying to move from Lotus123 to Excel. We have successfully converted some of his Lotus files to Excel using free online converters that are available, but we're having trouble finding any that can handle his biggest files.... one is 4mb and another is 7mb. He cannot get into Lotus anymore to break the files into smaller pieces.Any tips on how to migrate 4mb+ files from Lotus123 to Excel? 07-31-2020, 07:32 PM Logit Windows 10 Office 2007 Expert Join Date: Jan 2017 Posts: 574 Step 1Locate the Lotus .123 file that you wish to open. If it has a “.123” appendage, you need to rename it to have a “.wk4” appendage. This will allow Excel to read the file.Step 2Right click the Lotus 123 (.wk4) file.Select “Open with…” and select Microsoft Excel. Excel will open the file with all associated information and formatting. If you wish to convert to a native Excel file, merely save it, making sure to select the Excel format. 07-31-2020, 07:57 PM Burt Windows 10 Office 2016 Novice Join Date: Apr 2019 Posts: 24 Hi Logit,Thank you for the reply. When I open the file in the manner you suggest, Excel gives the message "This file is not in a recognizable format." It then kicks me into the Text Import Wizard, where I can specify delimiters. This allows me to open the file but what is displayed is not anything meaningful.... just stuff like this: пяяЂяяАяяя#Т‹PeяяяяпяяЂяяАяяя#ТThanks,Burt 07-31-2020, 08:02 PM Logit Windows 10 Office 2007 Expert Join Date: Jan 2017 Posts: 574 Can you post one of the Lotus files here ? I'd like to see what I can do with it.You are running Excel 2016 and I'm using 2007. I'm curious if my version still has something in it to convert the file. 07-31-2020, 08:10 PM Logit Windows 10 Office 2007 Expert Join Date: Jan 2017 Posts: 574 .Sent you a private message. 07-31-2020, 08:18 PM
