Although the benchmarks are very useful for providing apples-to-apples comparisons across a broad array of GPU and CPU configurations they are not a substitute for actual application and gaming benchmarks. In this sense we consider the 3DMark benchmarks to be purely synthetic in nature but still very valuable for providing consistent measurements of performance.In our first test, the G33 makes for a great showing against the X1250 offerings. So we are being a bit sarcastic in that announcement as we consider these results to be anything but great considering it is the later part of 2007. The G33 platform like our X1250 platforms could not complete the Shader Mark 3.0 tests since it is not supported on this chipset. The X1250 did exceed the G33 in the CPU tests. In fact, the CPU test is where the X1250 shined in this test, almost to the point of making us wonder if this test really has any relevance at this point. General System PerformanceThe PCMark05 benchmark developed and provided by Futuremark was designed for determining overall system performance for the typical home computing user. This tool provides both system and component level benchmarking results utilizing subsets of real world applications or programs. This benchmark is useful for providing comparative results across a broad array of Graphics subsystems, CPU, Hard Disk, and Memory configurations along with multithreading results. In this sense we consider the PCMark benchmark to be both synthetic and real world in nature while providing consistency in our benchmark results.The margins are very close in the PCMark05 results with the G33 platform showing a minor advantage over the X1250 platforms due to better storage system performance results. La estabilidad se midio ejecutando 3DMark 05 y un Super Pi de 32M.ECS G33T-M2 | Resultados de las PruebasObtuvimos resultados parejos, en la prueba de 1M, es un empate, pero en la de 2M vemos que la balanza se inclina un poco a favor de la placa MSI.En estas 2 pruebas, las cuales miden distintas areas de nuestro procesador, obtuvimos resultados bastante similares, mostrandonos que en esta parte la ganancia con el nuevo chipset es poca, es mas, en algunos caso queda por debajo que su antecesor. En el Ancho de banda de las memorias, obtenemos resultados que no favorecen al nuevo chipset G33, vemos que en las 2 pruebas, el chipset G965 obtiene mejores resultados, opacando a la estrella de la noche. En los test sinteticos como lo son, los famosos 3DMark, los resultados son parejos, solo que en el 3dmark 03, el chipset G33 saca una ventaja notoria sobre su antecesor. Bueno, pcmark nos da un resultado de como rinde el sistema en general, es un test bien completo, que mide graficos, lectura de memorias, de discos duros, etc… En este salio victorioso el G965, pero por poco. Esto se puede deber a que los drivers para los chipset 965 estan mucho mas maduros que los del G33. Pasamos al punto que es de los mas importantes a analizar antes de comprar una placa madre con graficos integrados, ya que, es importante elegir una placa que tenga la mejor calidad de graficos posible, aqui es donde el nuevo chipset sale a lucirse, dejando totalmente opacado el rendimiento del G965.Vemos como en todos los juegos el G33 obtiene muy buenos numeros, y realmente bastante mejores que el G965, es en esta seccion donde el nuevo chipset de Intel tiene una gran mejora, y la podemos apreciar en los graficos, donde vemos muy buenos fps. En la compresión, la diferencia de tiempo no es tan pareja, vemos que el G33 se separa por 41 segundos, algo que en la practica habitual se hace notar. En Photoshop la diferencia que hay es infima, tan solo 2 segundos. En este bench obtenemos resultados parejos, por no decir iguales, el manejo de los discos duros por medio de el southbridge ICH9 no tiene mayor diferencia, con el anterior ICH8. En esta ocación, G965 obtiene mejores resultados, es decir, tiene un mejor manejo sobre el procesador. Hello,I have a network of public kiosks all running windows xp pro sp3 and Intel G31/G33; my screens shut down after a certain period of inactivity despite all the options are set to never do it.I suspect my graphic card to be responsible of this because when I work remotely on this computer (from another computer), this also happen (I mean why would the screen shut down if I am working on the machine? My thinking is maybe if the graphic card is idle for a certain time, it shuts down the screen without considering the Windows options. Is that possible?My question is: does the Intel G31/G33 has some kind of native, OS-independent "power saving mode" ?Please consider that I have been trying to fix this for weeks, this is why i'm posting here. All the Power options, screen saver in Windows are set to "Never shut down" , and the screen itself also).Thanks for your help.

En el Ancho de banda de las memorias, obtenemos resultados que no favorecen al nuevo chipset G33, vemos que en las 2 pruebas, el chipset G965 obtiene mejores resultados, opacando a la estrella de la noche. En los test sinteticos como lo son, los famosos 3DMark, los resultados son parejos, solo que en el 3dmark 03, el chipset G33 saca una ventaja notoria sobre su antecesor. Bueno, pcmark nos da un resultado de como rinde el sistema en general, es un test bien completo, que mide graficos, lectura de memorias, de discos duros, etc… En este salio victorioso el G965, pero por poco. Esto se puede deber a que los drivers para los chipset 965 estan mucho mas maduros que los del G33. Pasamos al punto que es de los mas importantes a analizar antes de comprar una placa madre con graficos integrados, ya que, es importante elegir una placa que tenga la mejor calidad de graficos posible, aqui es donde el nuevo chipset sale a lucirse, dejando totalmente opacado el rendimiento del G965.Vemos como en todos los juegos el G33 obtiene muy buenos numeros, y realmente bastante mejores que el G965, es en esta seccion donde el nuevo chipset de Intel tiene una gran mejora, y la podemos apreciar en los graficos, donde vemos muy buenos fps. En la compresión, la diferencia de tiempo no es tan pareja, vemos que el G33 se separa por 41 segundos, algo que en la practica habitual se hace notar. En Photoshop la diferencia que hay es infima, tan solo 2 segundos. En este bench obtenemos resultados parejos, por no decir iguales, el manejo de los discos duros por medio de el southbridge ICH9 no tiene mayor diferencia, con el anterior ICH8. En esta ocación, G965 obtiene mejores resultados, es decir, tiene un mejor manejo sobre el procesador.
