Installaware free for visual studio

DickGrier Posts: 1 Joined: Fri Jan 14, 2011 4:46 pm Visual Studio 2010 integration I have both Visual Studio 2008 and Visual Studio 2010 installed. After installing InstallAware Express 10, Visual Studio 2008 shows InstallAware menus and toolbar. However, Visual Studio 2010 does not. I reinstalled (repair/reinstall) InstallAware with no change. I also had a similar experience where 2008 had the menu but 2010 did not. When I reinstalled using "Run as administrator" I found the registration in 2010 was then setup correctly. Whether it was administrator rights or the act of reinstalling that solved it I don't know. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about the internals of 2010's IDE and how it recognises add-ins but I wonder if there might be something missing in your registry that IA's installer creates for you?
