Well, if that is the conclusion your team has come to then that is all there is to be done about it. Mark as New Bookmark Subscribe Mute Subscribe to RSS Feed Permalink Print Report Inappropriate Content Member HubSpot gmail extension logs out when I close Chrome SOLVE Hello! I can provide clarity:I'm on a PC. This happens when I close Chrome by clicking the X at the upper right. When I open my task manager to check if Chrome is running, it is not listed as one of the active programs, so I suppose I am both "Closing" and "Quitting" Chrome. I don't have to shut down the computer for this to occur. If I click the X and Chrome fully closes, when I launch Chrome again, I am logged out of the Gmail Hubspot extension. If by SSO you mean "Single Sign-On" software, then no, I do not have anything like that (I had to look that up online). I open Chrome and the Gmail icon is on my homepage. I click it and it takes me to Gmail, where I am already signed in.The setting you indicated is disabled. If it is the case that I am getting logged out of app.hubspot.com when I close Chrome, how are other people staying logged on when they close Chrome? Where is the setting I need to change in order for me to stay logged on? I got a reply from the team. This ultimately is being caused by your external environment, so we can only help point you in the right direction here.We found this article during a quick Google Search - are you able to find this setting and set it so that Chrome continues running in the background? I placed several tests and this is what seems to work for me when QUITTING Chrome and wanting to stay logged in. (even when restarting computer).1) Make sure I'm signed out, close Chrome, and open it back up.2) Click the Gmail extension icon and sign in.3) I signed in via HubSpot (not the Google Account or other SSO type system)4) NOTE: when I signed in, I chose the option to remember me.5) NOTE: I have 2FA turned on in HubSpot so I received the text message with the security code.6) I entered the 2FA code and I also checked the box to "remember this computer"7) I closed Chrome, rebooted my system, and I was still logged in.Hopefully this works for others than just me. This creates the issue where I have to remember to turn on the Gmail extension every time I open my Gmail account. Unfortunately, in course of dealing with the demands of my work life, this does not always happen, which leads to emails not getting logged or tracked before I realize the extension is off and turn it back on.I have worked through this community article: gone through this thread which touches on the issue but does not fix it: only use Chrome for my Hubspot Gmail, I have no other accounts, I have no other Chrome extensions besides hubspot and grammarly (both of which I have turned off and on to test per the issues brought up in the above articles, they don't seem to affect this issue).I have cleared my Cache and the issue remains. If it helps, once Chrome is open, if I close my Gmail tab and then reopen it, the Gmail extension remains on. This is only reproducible when I close Chrome and reopen it. While we are unable to reproduce the issue when closing Chrome, when the team quits Chrome, they are logged out of their Chrome extension, and also logged out of app.hubspot.com. This is due to how we log into app.hubspot.com.This leads them to wonder if you have any sort of SSO in place for logging into HubSpot? If so, you should work with your IT to confirm how your SSO requires you to log into app.hubspot.com upon quitting and/or closing then reopening Chrome - since the extension is the same cookie rules as app.hubspot.com.Something else to have you check would be if you have the setting to 'clear cookies and site data when quitting Chrome' enabled - as this would also be a likely cause for getting signed out. Ultimately though, if you are logged out of app.hubspot.com upon closing/quitting Chrome and reopening, then it is expected that you would be logged out of the HS Chrome extension as well. I understand you've tried disabling all extensions in Chrome and that you've cleared your cache as well, thanks for those steps. Can you confirm your chrome browser is up to date (chrome://settings/help) and our extension is up to date too? (chrome://extensions > enable Developer mode > Update button)Could you confirm that when logging into the add-in, the "remember me" box is checked? Could you also send us a screenshot of what you're seeing when it's logged out and you have to log in again?
