Working on issues related to just photos. If you want to use common programming modules for some aspects of the programs for both pictures and videos that is an internal flickr decision. The version release number however should be improving video OR photos so users know when to install an enhancement that will improve THEIR need. What's actually happening is that the Uploadr is saving that information out to all the images and then to a file on disk once each minute. None of your metadata has been lost. It. Every single time. I get "bonk" and fail errors galore. Now its new habit is uploading multiple copies of my photos, hanging, and then losing everything I worked on.If version 3 worked, it'd be better than version 2, but as it stands, I'm going to have to go back to version 2 before I scream. I upgraded from a previous version (can't remember which version) of Flickr by dropping the new app over the top of the old one.Errors on the console were:Error: threads.gm is nullSource file: chrome://uploadr/content/threads.jsLine: 63Error:Source file: chrome://uploadr/content/threads.jsLine: 268I then as advised removed/[Your Home]/Library/Application Support/Flickr Uploadrand restarted my Mac.The problem still occurs and errors on the console are now, from first use:Failed to load XPCOM component:/Applications/Flickr Uploadr.app/Contents/Resources/components/gm.dylibWarning: reference to undefined property Cc['@flickr.com/gm;1']Source File: chrome://uploadr/content/threads.jsLine: 32Error: Cc['@flickr.com/gm;1'] is undefinedSource File: chrome://uploadr/content/threads.jsLine: 32Error: threads.gm is nullSource file: chrome://uploadr/content/threads.jsLine: 63Error:Source file: chrome://uploadr/content/threads.jsLine: 268 Posted ages ago. Sometimes already after 3 files, sometimes it just get stuck and many times it crashes when closing the program.I'm not sure if it has something to do with my anti-virus software (kaspersky, latest version); which automatically stops when uploadr is launched and restarts when the program is closed..I hate to do so, but i do switch to an alternative like Flock when uploading larger batch of files. Very frustrating!Windows version - XP Posted ages ago. ( permalink )
