Anyway to speed up the data transfer rate?James 2. RE: Very Slow Data Transfer Rate Posted Nov 13, 2014 03:28 PM I have a similar issue with Workstation 10 running Win7.If we let the device enumerate directly to the host running Win7 (no VM involved) and run our test app which sends and recieves data over two bulk pipes, then host sends data to the device with 200us intervals, and polls the device at corresponding intervals. But if we instead let the device enumerate in the VM then we can see that buffers from app in VM are queued down to host USBD on almost exactly 1.5ms intervals. There are no attempts by the host inbetween these intervals to send an out-token to the bulk-ep.Correspondingly the host sends an in-token to the device bulk-ep only every 1.5ms thus causing a serious degradation of performance. So, it seems like Workstation has some scheduling mechanism running on 1.5ms intervals which takes buffers queued down to the device, and forwards them down to host USBD.Are there any configuration parameters which control this behaviour? 3. Windows 10 appears to intentionally attack Flash. I run two computers. I got Flash running on Chrome on one computer. That's after searching help files, trying everything I could find, and playing with it. Edge won't work at all. FireFox runs so slow it's not usable. But my second computer it won't work on FireFox or Chrome. I spent between half an hour and forty-five minutes trying to get it to work so I could watch an actor's FB video. It is Edge not IE. I was forced to use Edge because of previous problems with Windows 10. I do not have access to the information for that computer on this one. I didn't bother to try with Edge on this one. Edge is worthless.I did try FireFox and Chrome. And no amount of tinkering with authorizing it, updating will allow Flash to work.Windows 10 deactivated it. And with the amount of effort to the fix it, I'd be very surprised if it wasn't intentional.Flash running slow Jobs, Employment - Freelancer

Very customizable. Loses one star only because it has a notification message that can't be dismissed. Don't see the reason for it since it has an icon to show when it's running like other background apps. Doesn't prevent it from working, it's just an annoyance for anyone who likes to be able to clear their notifications.34 people found this review helpfulIt's good but at basic level. Ubuntu is slow on netbook, running on flash drive. Will this persist
I've tried like 10 USB flash drives, and they are all slow :(External USB hard-drives are much faster. For example transfer speeds on the WD passport are like 20 MB/sec compared to like 2 MB/sec on flash drives. And the latency on flash drives is huge. Computer often becomes unresponsive when accessing multiple file. Here the spec say that it should reach the max. transfer speeds of the USB port: 480Mbits/s aka 60 MB/sec, way more than 2 MB/sec...Is there anything wrong with my computer or settings?I'm running on Windows 7. I have an nVidia 8600GT card (made by EVGA) on a machine with Windows Vista (AMD Athlon X2 processors) and four gigs of ram. It runs pretty good, but I have had some slow/choppy/stuterring video playback issues whenever watching flash videos on Youtube or other sites. The problem is there with both Firefox and IE flash videos, but is maybe worse with Firefox. I also tried Linux with nVidia's binary drivers and it was about the same. I downloaded EVGA precision which allows me to control stuff like the fan and clock speed. The card's temp (in both Vista and Linux) is usually at 66C when idle (not playing a game or watching anything). It goes up a little when watching a video (maybe 68-72C).Any ideas on how to fix this?UPDATE: The issues are both with full screen and embedded flash videos. I have Flash 10.0.32.18 (always make sure I use most recent for security), and the CPU is an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+ at 2.11 GHZ. The current GPU driver installed is the most recent GeForce one from last July. I only have the problem when on a high resolution (that's desktop area.) Also I have the problem anytime I have the graphics card is changing what's on my display. Ie. I could be running factorals and maxing my CPU and it'll play no problem, but if I scroll the audio gets choppy. I found the best way to test it is with Windows media player. When I have the visualization showing it's audio and video are choppy. But if I go to another tab or cover up the visualization (or even choose a simple visualization like "bars") the audio is smooth.I fixed it by doing the following on Windows Vista. I'm not sure if all steps are neccesary but since I can't duplicate the problem anymore I can't narrow down which step fixed it. First I uninstalled and reinstalled my Nvidia graphics drivers. That didn't work. Then I opened the run window and type "msconfig". Disabled all non-microsoft services under the startup tab. Then rebooted. When it came back up I loaded a song in WMP with a crazy visualization running. It got choppy. I opened taskComments
