Hey there! Welcome to the Digital Spy forums. If you’d like to join in, please sign in or register. is this a possible option, i know for firefox, you can have like plugins and stuff.... not sure bout IE , but is there any way of doing an auto update every like 10 secs or so, or customisable.... would be good on forums like DS as i find i hit the refresh button a lot.... 0 Comments Avant Browser which is an overlay of Internet Explorer will give you fully customisable auto-refresh. get a lot more features than that over-hyped Firefox and the tabs actually work. Also don't believe the rubbish about IE being insecure. Just bump up the security settings higher than the default and it offers anything that Firefox does. Avant defaults to higher security than IE does normally so it is good for less techy people. 0 Opera does this...And i wouldn't rule out the possibility of there being a FF plugin. 0 hxbro Posts: 2,215 Forum Member✭✭✭ I think either the tab extensions or the web developer extension allows you to specify refresh on a tab in firefoxI'm pretty sure some forums refreshing (and not reading) will mark posts as read, so having it automatically refresh may mean you miss posts 0 For Firefox use the ReloadEvery extension.I use it myself and its very good. The link to the extension is lets u specify the time interval between page refreshes so u can use any time interval u Is it just me (Win7x64 Pro SP1 and XP PRO SP3) — or did Avast’s AdBlocker extension “disappear” from [and thereby stop working in] today’s Firefox 21 update??? system May 14, 2013, 10:24pm 2 …me too Win Vista 64bit/SP2/Avast Free/FF 21.0 Same here . . . Updated Firefox to version 21.0 and no more AdBlocker . . . I just updated FF to Version 21 but I don’t use Avast’s AdBlocker. I use AB+, an extension in FF. system May 15, 2013, 12:03am 5 Software Updater also reports Mozilla Firefox’s new version as v 20.0.1 - (Guess everything takes time to be updated.)I checked thinking FX v 21.0 had made a change to their “Options” folder, but do not see anything about Avast! Ad Blocker being removed. Avast! Ad Blocker always had appeared as a Firefox “Add-On” prior to FX v 21.0Ron - W3FSY system May 15, 2013, 12:07am 6 This is completely normal behavior. Give them time to update. Firefox just go updated today. You can use ABP instead anyways. It also has more features and customizations. Norton fans are always complaining when the Norton toolbar does not work as soon as new version of there browser comes out. A week later its fixed. Simion May 15, 2013, 12:20am 7 No, it’s not. Firefox 21.0 Beta has been out for six weeks now, the dev builds even longer. Besides, why do my other 14 extensions work if this is normal? ??? system May 15, 2013, 12:30am 8 It is normal. Check the Symantec forums. Check Kaspersky forums. Why make it such an issue when you can just use Ad Block Plus extension on its own. The minute a new version of Firefox or Chrome comes does not mean that Avast has to be on top of it. Gezzz. I[Firefox] Firefox 118.0.1 released - DSLReports Forums

Thanks so much for your reply.Like I said I tried everything that has been suggested on Adobe forums, Windows forums and elsewhere. I've uninstalled, done mutliple reboots, then installed. None of them worked. SubinACL didn't work but that's not surprising since there isn't even one key that even mentions Shockwave under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\ in my registry so I got nothing in the SubinACL output but "files could not be found". And both my C:\Windows\System32\Macromed and C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed files have nothing in them. SubinACL did not report any errors. I tried to do the manual settings on HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID but that did nothing, I'm sure for the same reasons. Flash Player installs quickly and easily on Firefox but, unfortunately, the program I need it for only runs in IE.I'm not sure if this may provide any clues but when I close the program that needs Flash in IE I get a Windows Compatibility error window that says: "This program requires flash.ocx which is no longer included in this version of Windows".Comments
