But I'm not sure how to assign MIDI data to the buttons.I installed MIDI Yoke and I thought that would do it, but I'm still stuck. Can anyone direct me towards a tutorial to get Fergo JoystickMIDI working ?Thanks in advance Posting Rules You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts BB code is On Smilies are On [IMG] code is On HTML code is Off Forum Rules Forum Jump All times are GMT -7. Just one tiny, itsy bitsy request. Is it possible to add a "minimize to tray" function in "Fergo JoystickMIDI"? Preferably with a choice of "minimize on close" as well.Like I've said earlier, I have no clue about vb6 or any programming language, so I really dont know how easy this is to implement or not. It would be really nice and tidy though 11-12-2009, 05:25 PM #43 Human being with feelings Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: Curitiba - Brazil Posts: 372 Quote: Originally Posted by Chris Ihao Hey Fergo. You should probably also include a "right click on tray icon to select quit" feature as well, to not have to deselect this option to be able to quit hihi 11-13-2009, 08:35 AM #45 Human being with feelings Join Date: Nov 2009 Location: Tjuvdalen, Norway Posts: 21 Three stars Hi Fergo.Great and stable app you have here. I have been using it extensively the last two weeks, after it was recommended to me by Chris Ihao. Works great for my usage (mainly Reaper and VLC mediaplayer). Many respects for sorting out the world of joystick->midi for us. I have tried almost every app there is, and yours is truly in a league for it

Non-intuitive.. in my opinion would be better to have an empty slot and the others with presets name, that are automatically loaded when selected.thank you! Thanks for the feedback. You are not the first person to report that the clicking the "Load" button is a bit non-intuitive. I'm going to automatically load the preset when you select it in the next version. Thanks!Fergo 03-20-2010, 11:21 AM #74 Human being with feelings Join Date: Dec 2009 Posts: 170 might seem liek a stupid question but how do i use this? 03-21-2010, 03:41 PM #75 Human being with feelings Join Date: Feb 2010 Location: Italy Posts: 18 I think it was an older version, I didn't download it from your site but from a post with download link.. 03-21-2010, 05:54 PM #76 Human being with feelings Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: Curitiba - Brazil Posts: 372 Quote: Originally Posted by socrates112 might seem liek a stupid question but how do i use this? I should probably finish the user guide, but here is the basic steps:1) Get your joystick connected to the PC2) Launch Fergo JoystickMIDI. Setup the MIDI output port (you should probably use MIDI Yoke, as you'll send MIDI through a virtual port to another application)3) Create a preset and load it4) Add outputs by click the "Add" button. In the window that will show up, you have all things you need. What to output, use which input, ranges, etc5) After you have the outputs you want, just hit activate and move your joystick axis and press its buttonsFergo 05-21-2010, 02:49 PM #77 Human being with feelings Join Date: May 2010 Location: Mauritius Posts: 23 Hello there, i've been using all types of joystick/gamepad to midi software but yours is better and more stable and also superbly easy to use.Bug:1.)The r axis of my ps2 gamepad look buggy (but works fine with rejoice).Improvement:1.) POV direction does not get detected on ps2 gamepad.2.) Need function like Pitch bend, after touch, program change, expression etc...Please make these things and your software will be the best and more complete joystick/gamepad to midi software

Issues:-Popup menu from tray will not close unless you select one of it's optionsResizable form is on the way too Fergo 11-23-2009, 06:15 PM #54 Human being with feelings Join Date: Oct 2009 Posts: 323 Ah. Brilliant Fergo Love seeing the the icon in my tray right now. I'm using the app all the time, so this is a great addition. You are my hero. That popup issue is no big thing btw. No reason to go snooping around in there once its setup anyhow, and if it is one SHOULD actually select something. Hehe. The exit choice works fine for this as well (also, several "pro" programs have had bigger problems with the tray popups than this). Thanks again! 12-07-2009, 05:12 PM #55 Human being with feelings Join Date: Oct 2009 Posts: 323 Hi again Fergo Just wanted to notify you of a bug that causes multiple button presses when multitasking. If I multitask out of Reaper, then enter again the functions mapped suddenly activate, causing all weird things. Happens for me at least. Using Vista 32-bit here. Its a bit annoying, since my record button are among those mapped. Just wanted to drop a note. 12-07-2009, 05:39 PM #56 Human being with feelings Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: Curitiba - Brazil Posts: 372 Hi Chris,You mean like hitting ALT+TAB and than going back to Reaper's window? This is really weird, because FJM will simply send the MIDI note through the selected device, independent of which application is receiving it.Does this happen in specific situations (only when in tray, for example)? You might also use the history window to see when the messages are being sent.Fergo 12-07-2009, 07:00 PM #57 Human being with feelings Join Date: Oct 2009 Posts: 323 Quote: Originally Posted by Fergo Hi Chris,You mean like hitting ALT+TAB and than going back to Reaper's window?
