In February of 2020, following the surge in popularity that the "Lazy Tutorials" series brought him, Hubert started a Patreon page so that fans could support his work. The main focus of the Patreon, which currently has over 3,000 pledgers, is to complete and release the episodes of Hubert's new series, Dynamo Dream, to complete and finish the main Dynamo series, and in general to produce films. On Patreon, Hubert offers assets, previews of videos before they are released, exclusive tutorials and more to his patrons. On April 24, 2020, the popular filmmaking and visual effects YouTube channel, Corridor Digital, released the video "R-Rated Wonky Willy", on which Ian Hubert collaborated.[1] A making-of video was released on Corridor Digital's second channel, Corridor Crew, showing how the different visual effects were accomplished, including Hubert's work.[2]Please write about Dynamo Dream Episode 1.Personal life[]Ian Hubert was born in Seattle, Washington, USA, where he spent most of his early life. He also lived in Seattle while working on Dynamo and still to this day uses the city for various locations in his filmmaking. For a while, Ian dated Ty Bonneville, who appeared in Dynamo as Erika Kavonaghan. However, they eventually split up.In 2020 Ian Hubert became engaged to Kaitlin Romig, with whom he also collaborates on film and art projects of various kinds, and who stars in Episode 1 of Dynamo Dream as Josephine Simon, however at one point they split up. He is close friends with most of the people working on Dynamo. In mid 2017, Ian Hubert was trying to figure out whether he should stay in Seattle or move to Los Angeles or any other more film-centric city, but he decided to stay near Seattle and do whatever he could to keep a film industry alive in the city. Hubert and Romig bought an abandoned church complex in a forested area on the Kitsap Peninsula in Puget Sound, near Port Orchard, Washington, about an hour away from the south of Seattle, Washington. They converted all the spaces into film studios, art studios and has since used it to build sets for projects and opened it up for others to rent and use for art installations, film shoots, photo shoots and more artistic projects. They have named the studio spaces "Futureproof Workshop". According to Ian Hubert, Futureproof Workshop exists to facilitate artistic experimentation, where he feels a lot of the best learning takes place, especially considering that as Ian and his collaborators have grown older, it has become harder to get everyone together, as people have started brand new lives and become parents and more.Filmography[]Project London (science fiction feature film)Tears of Steel (science fiction short film, made for Blender)Dynamo (science fiction web series 2012-ongoing)Dynamo Dream (science fiction web series set in the Dynamo universe 2021-ongoing)External links[]Personal website and blogIan Hubert's PatreonIan Hubert on InstagramIan Hubert on TumblrIan Hubert on TwitterIan Hubert onComments

He currently resides in Port Orchard, Washington, USA, where he owns the rentable studio FutureProof Workshop. Hubert is one of the two creators behind the popular cyberpunk dystopian science fiction web series Dynamo as well as the co-founder of the production company KarmaPirates, along with his friend and colleague, Scott Hampson. Hubert is also the creator of the Dynamo side series Dynamo Dream. Hubert is known for being experienced in making digital visual effects and working with 3D modelling and animation, usually in the software Blender. Hubert also portrays Gage Mann in Dynamo. In late 2019, Ian Hubert began making a series of short 1 minute Blender 3D tutorials titled "Lazy Tutorials", which went viral on YouTube, Instagram and Twitter. Following this surge in popularity, Ian Hubert opened a Patreon in February of 2020, whose focus is to make more films, mainly finishing the Dyanamo series and producing Dynamo Dream. The Patreon currently has more than 3,000 pledgers.Career[]Ian Hubert began experimenting with visual effects and making short films when he discovered the open source 3D modelling and animation software Blender as a young teenager. He kept at it for 25 years, eventually directing a science fiction feature film called Project London which was crowdfunded, landing the director job on the official Blender open movie of 2012, Tears of Steel, and in the same year, he put out the first four episodes of a new science fiction web series, Dynamo, which he considers his own labor of love and the best thing he can make. Throughout his career he has honed his skill with Blender and become fairly competent, one of the leading artists using the software. He has begun to land many gigs on bigger film projects, including working as visual effects supervisor on the indie science fiction film Prospect, compositor and visual effects artist on the Fences music video "ARROWS (feat. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis)", visual effects supervisor on various IMAGOS Films projects, including SOMA Transmissions. Most recently, he has worked as a visual effects artist on Ed Sheeran's music videos for "Perfect" and "South of the Border (feat. Camila Cabello & Cardi B)". Ian Hubert mostly works on these projects with people who also work on Dynamo, and he has said that they usually take all these freelance jobs so that they may make a lot of money to return and spend it all on producing Dynamo. In 2019, a new series of short 1 minute Blender "Lazy Tutorials" was started by Hubert for fun, but they quickly went viral, causing many people in the visual effects, filmmaking and Blender communities to notice him.
