Curse Client 4 is out in Beta - WoWInterface

Be compromised. Curse was involved in a hacking earlier this year, and are most definitely in league with some sort of gold-selling service but i don't hold it against them.Downloading addons is as easy as unzipping them and dragging and dropping them into your interface/addons folder. You can update by dragging and dropping the newest version of an addon in the same folder. It is very noble that they want to split profits with addon authors, but they don't honestly deserve a dime when authors can promote themselves, but alas, convenience is why none of the i's are capitalized in this post i wrote. Also dont download from untrusted/untested addon authors. 2011-11-30, 11:55 AM #9 Stood in the Fire Originally Posted by Holo Its still buggy to be honest.. and it also tries to install any beta versions of addons.. even those that are heavyly erroring.I for myself am waiting untill thats going to get fixed. Curse client has far more addons available, but wowmatrix allows you to update all addons with a single press. You have to pay for the premium to do the same with curse. It's a small annoyance for most, but it's gunna be a lot of clicking for me as an addon-whore when I get home to update everything for 4.3 2011-11-30, 11:36 AM #8 The Lightbringer nononoBut it is vulnerable, so if curse gets compromised then you can

Easier 2011-11-30, 07:33 PM #13 Mechagnome I have never had any problems with curse client. I get spam on the email that i use for curse client but that because it was my wow email and i got hacked. 2011-11-30, 07:35 PM #14 Dreadlord Just get Wowmatrix. Much smaller and in 1 click, updates everything. 2011-11-30, 07:43 PM #15 Originally Posted by Holyshnikies Just get Wowmatrix. Much smaller and in 1 click, updates everything. Do NOT use wowmatrix. It used to leech the addons from Curse and wowinterface, and therefore its maker's background and intent is shady, to say the least. I would rather trust Curse client or wow minion than wowmatrix. So go with the curse client, it's safer (although if you want to be 100% safe, download by hand). 2010-05-19, 01:59 AM #1 Brewmaster Is this program still safe to use? I heard about the trojan a while back, and havn't touched it since. 2010-05-19, 02:00 AM #2 Super Moderator Re: WowMatrix? Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds, Battle of Serenity Valley 2010-05-19, 08:28 AM #8 The Unstoppable Force Re: WowMatrix? Wowmatrix was great at what it did, only the attitude of the developers was the problem. They were unwilling to host the addons themselves, instead bringing in money from the advertising and leaching off the bandwidth of curse/wowinterface amongst others. Both curse and wowinterface have their own updaters, but despite the best efforts of wowinterface with mmo minion, and the support for modules opening up the possibility of cross-site updaters again that does not seem to have gone anywhere. That is what wowmatrix did well, bringing together the different sources of addons, only their practices left a lot to be desired. Right click it and extract it to C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft/ Interface/Addons. Or you can just open the folder that your addon is in and just move it directly into you addon folder. In some cases you might not have a addon folder when you play the game for the first time so just make a folder called Addons in your Interface folder and you'll be set from there. When you open WoW and are looking at your characters on any realm. On the bottem left corner you'll see addons and it will show which addons are being used. If you dont see the addon there you could of installed the addon incorrectly or the addon file is corrupt and you should try getting it off another site.Hope this helps anyone who needs it =D 0 0 Just install it anyway. 0 0 You can use Curse Client dl it from curse.com and simply chose ur addon and Click Install and it will do the job and you dont worry about updates it can auto update addons whenever there is need to. 0 0 You know it would be simpler if you downloaded the curse client for addons at www.curse.com 0 0 Download this:www.curse.com/client/and don't forget to make an account on the Curse website.Make sure that Curse and WoW are installed, Open Curse and look through the database of addons you want, download them and it will install them for you.I recommend downloading these addons:- Addon Control Panal- Deadly Boss Mods- RecountOnce they are downloaded you can start up WoW, Log in and play. The addons should all be installed for the most part but if you have any problems then go to the character select screen and open the addon management menu, the button can be found in the bottom
