Welcome to the 35th ASPAN National Conference!

Questions, answers, comprehensive rationales, and references to current research. Questions are updated to reflect the latest standards of practice and ABPANC's examination blueprints. From Barbara Putrycus and Jacqueline Ross, this ASPAN practice tool helps you review the core knowledge and essential skills you need for in-hospital or ambulatory certification. It has come to our attention that that there are errors in the 3rd edition of ASPAN/Putrycus/Ross: Certification Review for Perianesthesia Nursing. Those errors have now been corrected. Please contact Customer Service at 1-800-545-2522 and mention part number 9996090566 to receive the corrections. We sincerely apologize for any problems this may have caused.• UNIQUE! Review is based on the latest CPAN and CAPA examination blueprints, preparing you for the four core areas of knowledge tested: physiological, behavioral and cognitive, safety, and patient advocacy. • Essential core concepts and cross references to ASPAN's PeriAnesthesia Nursing Core Curriculum, 2nd Edition, are listed in the beginning of each chapter. • Case study and clinical application questions include answers, correct answer rationales, and individual rationale references for each question. • Chapters are broken into sets, with at least 20 multiple-choice questions included in each set. • Convenient index is organized by question number rather than page number.• Questions are revised or completely new to reflect the latest standards of practice and ABPANC's examination blueprints. • Updated rationales and references are provided. • New format features answers and rationales after each set of questions and also provides an answer key for all chapters at the end of the book. • A chapter outline is included at the beginning of every chapter, and thumb tabs help you navigate more easily through the book. Customer Book Reviews Rated 4/5 based on 29 customer reviews Certification Review for PeriAnesthesia Nursing No separation of CPAN vs CAPA By Cturner on Oct 24, 2017Not quite what I expected; the CAPA and the CPAN questions are mixed throughout the text with no distinction, so studying for one or the other exclusively is proving to be a challenge. After using other question-and-answer methods to study for other certification exams through a 30 year

Career in nursing, I was looking for a little more explanation in the answer section. I find this book explains very little; it mostly lists the sources of the answer in other books. We'll see how much this helps in my CAPA testing. Five Stars By Renee Holloway-vaughan on Jun 13, 2017Great study book for CPAN review! Five Stars By Megan Griffiths on Oct 27, 2017Very useful. Many questions in this book were in the actual CPAN test. I passed with no problem Five Stars By Mickey on Sep 16, 2017Just what I wanted! Five Stars By Janis Hansen on Sep 05, 2017Excellent for preparing for certification exam Probably would not buy if I knew then what I know now. By Palpablethrill on Jun 16, 2017Not exceptional useful. I found the PESI review tapes much more useful even with the additional cost. 5.0 out of 5 stars By Camelhoe on Nov 14, 2018 I purchased this to study for my CAPA exam in Nov 2018. Unfortunately, the book does not differentiate between CAPA and cpan questions. The book really helps you focus in on main topics for the exam. Honestly, the questions were harder in book than on the actual exam. The rationales were awesome. If I needed further explanation I used my drains book. I passed my CAPA examine in one try. I recommend buying the CAPA questions on the aspan website. The layout of the practice exams mirrored the exam. I also recommend buying the pearls? Exam questions for $10 in your phones App Store (just search CAPA/cpan). There’s over 500 questions. The Aspan app also has 50 questions to purchase for $10. Good luck fellow nurses! 5.0 out of 5 stars By Aaron Hoste on Nov 26, 2017 ThisI purchased several books from the recommended list but was so overwhelmed with the amount of studying that was outlined by the CPAN/CAPA 12 week plan. I was desperate for a less overwhelming way to study. This book was it. When I ran into a question that I didn't know the answer to I had both the rational for. 2025 ASPAN National Conference Handouts. 2025 ASPAN National Conference Photos. 2025 National Conference Newletter: PArtiCUlArS 2025 ASPAN National Conference Online Recorded Sessions
