Ending delivers, it does seem aggravating that without having to jump through hoops, what you do find is a lot of what players have already seen and expected in the first game. Basically, another good story, but it needs to work on its presentation. Overall, if you just want more Amanda the Adventurer and/or more puzzle-focused horror games, Amanda the Adventurer 2 still delivers nicely, especially in the areas of creepy atmosphere and dark humor. But it feels a tad rushed in some spaces, just delivering more of the same, so hopefully our third outing with Amanda delivers more satisfaction. Closing Comments: Amanda the Adventurer 2 is a fun adventure title that delivers solid puzzles, great performances and a nice mixture of dread and humor, but a few sloppy decisions and a lack of anything substantial in either the gameplay or story areas hold it back. Still, if you can get past those issues (and the first puzzle), there's a nice, quick romp through an eerie library here that's worth checking out. If nothing else, at least the true ending will leave fans properly hooked for more games to come... In order to play through this creepy escape room-style video game, players will need to solve puzzles and interact with some spooky objects. One of the creepiest of these is a doll located near the TV in the attic, where players are locked. She holds the key to solving two important puzzles; the first is one of the puzzles needed to complete one of the endings, and the other is one of the secret tape puzzles to learn some of the lore behind the show. The Doll Puzzle in Amanda the Adventurer While exploring the attic in Amanda the Adventurer, players will have noticed a little toy bot. This bot is powered down, but it is needed for several puzzles. In order to solve all the Blabbot puzzles, it needs batteries. These batteries are, unfortunately for the doll, located inside her neck. So players will need to find something to cut her open. When players complete the Butcher Tape's coloring book puzzle, they will get a hint as to how this can be done: There is both a picture of the lock that is on the toolbox and a drawing of the doll getting her head chopped off. But if players unlock the toolbox at this point, they will notice that the doll has disappeared from her spot on the couch. So, in order to complete this part of the puzzle, players will need to remember the code in their next playthrough. Open the toolbox, take out the scissors, then chop the doll's head off. She will scream, then players will be able to take the batteries from her neck. The Secret Tape Doll Puzzle in Amanda the Adventurer During a new playthrough, when the doll is both there and has her head, players can get a secret tape from her as well. In order to trigger this event, players will need to give her a yellow flower to match the flower that is already in her hair. Consult the paper found inside the safe: Yellow flowers can only be grown from the pot with the sign of Jupiter on it. The Jupiter pot is located on the right side of the window instead of the left where the other pots are located; look at the floor in that corner of the attic. Pick up the pot, then put it in the wet corner until it grows into a full-sized plant. Pick up the pot, then hand it to the doll. She will instruct the player to turn around. Turn back toward the doll, and she will be holding the secret red tape with Amanda the Adventurer lore on it. Amanda the Adventurer is available for PC.
