Developed by Dell, Alienware's parent company, this application offers a centralized hub for managing various aspects of your Alienware system, enhancing your gaming experience, and customizing hardware settings. It provides tools for monitoring system performance, controlling RGB lighting, optimizing power settings, and creating macro shortcuts.Even though this application is most often pre-loaded on Alienware PCs, in the event that your app is missing or behaving badly, here you can download and install it manually. After a short and uneventful installation is complete, you can fire up this visually eye-catching application and immediately start exploring it for all the ways you can modify the look and performance of your PC and compatible Alienware and Dell peripherals. The app features an eye-catching design that has become a staple of the Alienware brand, but thankfully discovery of tools is simple and promotes experimentation with all the ways to customize the illumination and style of your PC.However, depending on the exact Alienware PC you own, you will most likely not have access to all features that are present inside Alienware Command Center - AWCC.Here are some of the most important modules present in the latest version of this app: AlienFX & AlienFX 2.0 – Your one-stop

Symptoms Go Dark and Go Dim used to be an accessible user interface (UI) feature for users to quickly dim or turn off the lights within Alienware Command Center v5.X. This feature is not present in Alienware Command Center v6.0.10X.0. Figure 1: The Go Dim and Go Dark options that are unavailable in Alienware Command Center 6.0.10X.0 Affected Platform: Alienware x14 R2 Alienware m16 Alienware m18 Dell G15 5530 Dell G16 7630 Affected Software: Alienware Command Center v6.0.10X.0 Steps to reproduce this issue: From an affected computer with Alienware Command Center v6.0.10X.0 installed, open AlienFX. Observe that there is no option for Go Dark or Go Dim. Cause Not applicable Resolution How can I switch my lights on and off? Creating a lights-off preset: From the Alienware Command Center, click Game Library. Figure 2: Game Library Double-click System Default. Figure 3: System Default Click AlienFX. Figure 4: AlienFX Click the + sign to add an ecosystem lighting preset. Figure 5: Adding an ecosystem lighting preset Select all devices and zones. Select Color. Change brightness to 0% or change all RGB color values to 0. Figure 6: Configuring a preset Save the preset with a specific name. Figure 7: Saving a preset Select the preset to enable. Figure 8: Enabling a preset Alternative: Alienware platforms have an internal keyboard function dedicated to turn lights on and off by pressing the key combination Fn+F7. For standard keyboard 1 zone or 4 zone: This switches all lighting zones included connected peripherals between 0% and 100%. For red, green, blue per key (RGBPK) and RGBPK Cherry keyboards: This switches internal keyboard lighting between 0%, 50%, and 100%. There is also the option of creating an all-black preset tile to disable lighting. I have created a "Black" preset for system default, but why does it still turn on when I launch a game? The presets are bound to specific scenarios either under system default or game mode. If you want certain games to launch with no lighting effect, double-click the game title and follow steps 3-9 again. Will Go Dark and Go Dim come back? Yes, this will be implemented soon where we will bring these options back under Game Library, in the System Default tile.
