Is no-Help.Help. Oct 25, 2011 6:26 AM in response to smaxfield3 I noticed the same problem on my older calenders. I tried fixing it manually only to have the problem recur with syncing. I did a google search and found a free software, iCal Dupe Deleter. It worked great. I even donated 5 euros to the company in England. Here is the link:iCal Dupe Deleter | nhoj.co.uk Nov 5, 2011 3:48 PM in response to rosencrantz Hi Rosencrantz -- You may not even particularly remember your posting -- but I just wanted to thank you !! for it. I noticed duplications of almost all of my iCal on iMac and iPhone -- Very annoying, yes! I spent two hours with apple help -- two techs and a senior tech. Nobody could solve it. Yours worked. I am very grateful. So now I'm de-dup'ed on the iMac. They're all still Dup'ed on the iPhone. So when I try to sync, it wants to re-add the 150 events [yuck] back to the iMac -- so far I'm simply not syncing them. This is obviously not a long-term solution. Then called Apple help -- and by playing with preferences, somehow mysteriously, it got solved on the iPhone. So for the moment, all's good. Thanks again. I had the same problem (running snow leopard 10.6.3 on Macbook Air). Events i created on non-shared, non-synced calendars could not be deleted or if they could they'd pop up again in seconds. And send me email reminders every 10 mins. VERY ANNOYING. Nov 9, 2011 10:47 PM in response to rockydog Hi!I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm having the SAME troubles that you're all complaining about. But I don't know what iSync is, and when I search for it on my computer, it doesn't show up. Jan 12, 2012 12:17 AM in response to John Maisey Thanks John, yes I guess that's the only explanation, I've deleted the dupes (only half a dozen birthdays) and the sync has worked, I'll keep a close eye on it. I have so few 'events' that I really don't NEED iCal to work but I WANT it to work so when these oddities occur I feel a need to solve them, or in this case - you to solve them.Best Roger Feb 7, 2012 2:15 PM in response to ROGER BURTON MY CASE IS WORSTMy ical is duplicating events even when is not connected to the network, nor to the iPad.It cannot be iClouds, nor any sync fault. Applications and Services Calendar Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. Sorry, I've looked at lots of "duplicate" threads but not been able to solve my problem ... I have an iMac an iPhone and an iPad 2 and sextuplicate events on all 3 devices. I don't use iCloud (well I'm pretty sure I've turned it off on all devices ?Any advice please ... Roger 1 imac 24, Mac OS X (10.7), iPhone AppleTV iPad Posted on Jan 10, 2012 8:30 AM Jan 10, 2012 2:11 PM in response to ROGER BURTON Hi Roger,Are these events in the Birthday Calendar?John M Jan 10, 2012 2:36 PM in response to John Maisey Hi John, not sure what the Birthday Calender is ... because of these dupes I've tried to keep the calender really simple ... I have only the one called 'Master ... in prefs I have 'Master' as the default and 'Show Birthday Calender' un-ticked.Roger Jan 10, 2012 2:40 PM in response to ROGER BURTON I see. How are you syncing the iMac, iPhone and iPad 2 if not by iCloud? Are you using iTunes?John M Jan 11, 2012 1:32 AM in response to John Maisey Thanks for being so patient John, yes I use iTunes I found iCloud a pain, especially as whenever I tried using it I got the message "you need to upgrade and give us some money" so in iTunes I "Back up to this computer" ... in my iMac prefs iCloud is turned off as it is on all devices. Jan 11, 2012 4:45 PM in response to ROGER BURTON Hi Roger,Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I would expect that it is the switch from syncing by iCloud to iTunes has done this. If all three machines have multiple entries your best bet would be to remove the duplicate events on one (probably your iMac) and then syncing to your other devices. If it is more than a few dozen events I wrote an application called iCal Dupe Deleter that might
