Monitor: 3840x2160 144hz (Gigabyte M32U)2. Monitor: 3440x1440 100hz (HP M34D)3. Monitor: 1920x1080 75hz (ACER QG271)I've already played around with the Hz numbers and the resolutions, but unfortunately I haven't been able to find the optimal settings.I've already increased the blanking time a little, but I wasn't sure how high I could go. If anyone has an idea how I can reduce my VRAM clock speed, I would be very grateful. All three monitors are needed, ideally with the appropriate resolution, theoretically I would only need the maximum Hz number on monitor 1.thanks 11-28-2024, 11:08 PM RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) (11-28-2024 10:02 PM)y.c Wrote: Hello everyone,I need your help with the following case.My RX 7900 xt permanently clocks the VRAM boost at 2487 MHz.I've already played around with cru, but I don't understand everything yet, so I just wanted to ask here if anyone knows the optimal settings for my monitor configuration.1. But I hope you can help me. I use a BENQ XL2420T monitor in conjunction with a 980ti video card and OS Windows 10 Pro 2009. My problem is that earlier in Windows 7 I used Display Scailing, and in Windows 10 I lost the choice and only have GPU Scaling. With your CRU program I got Display scaling back, but in full screen games on DX9 (cs go) I can't get 120hz, only 60hz works. Is it possible to fix this somehow?CS:GO should use the desktop refresh rate. How are you using CRU to get display scaling? 03-12-2021, 08:20 PM RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) (03-07-2021 11:51 PM)ramzes222 Wrote: The tool was working perfectly for a while, but now it does nothing. First of all, thank you for your work.I'm trying to extend the low end of the FreeSync Range of an AOC C24G1 over DisplayPort. If I set it as you suggest on the guide ("Edit..." at the top, then changing "V rate" and checking "Include if slot available", and then running restart.exe) nothing changes and Radeon Software reports the stock FreeSync range. However, if i use the HDMI method (even though I'm using a DisplayPort cable) then Radeon Software does report whatever range I set in CRU, but when I boot a game, I get random black screens. What I'm doing wrong? Thank you. 10-18-2021, 11:30 AM RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) (10-17-2021 12:57 AM)pneumatic Wrote: Hello,Is it possible to force a "pixel format" setting (eg. RGB/YCbCr 4:4:4/4:2:0) for AMD GPUs, such as with a registry edit or EDID tweak?Sorry for my ignorance here ... I just saw the extension block section where these pixel format parameters can be set. It does indeed affect the pixel formats shown in Radeon Settings, so there is nothing more I can try here. I now suspect my TV is the culprit and is downconverting to 4:2:2 internally as part of its video processing. 10-18-2021, 06:40 PM (Last edited: 10-18-2021, 06:42 PM by roadworrier) RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) I've got an Acer VG270U. With Windows 10 Pro 20H2 and my previous video card I couldn't get 2560x1440 which is native for this display, so I ordered a new Radeon HD5450 supposedly could do 2560x1440 and worked with Windows 10. I still can't get 2560x1440 with HDMI. 1920x1080 is the best I can see: But if I launch CRU, it looks like the Detailed resolution lists the native resolution. Since that's the resolution I want, I'm not sure how to get CRU to set it for me; since it seems that's what the system already has... but it doesn't show up as an option. (I did create a saved resolution exe, ran it, did restart64... but that didn't work.)FWIW I can get 2560x1440 with this display just fine with my MacBook Air, as well as with a Dell laptop with Windows 10.Since I just bought this video card I don't mind returning it, I'm not a gamer, and I don't use audio through HDMI, I just want to do work on this machine. It seems all of the drivers for this card are pretty old from AMD.But rather than return it, I'd prefer to just be able to tell Windows it can send 2560x1440 to the card. 10-19-2021, 01:23 PM RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) (10-18-2021 06:40 PM)roadworrier Wrote:

I'm trying to use CRU to provide a higher custom refresh rate, but none of the custom resolution templates I build ever appear in my display adapter advanced settings "list all" menu. I have tried all kinds of different settings for timing and for the actual refresh rate, and have attempted hard reboots as opposed to driver reboots -- to no avail. I do see that CRU is having *some* interaction with my display settings because I can use it to edit the monitor's color depth.Intel's driver often ignores EDID overrides for laptop screens. Thanks for the information. Are there any known workarounds, or Intel driver versions that don't do this? 06-11-2024, 01:04 AM RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) (06-10-2024 04:34 PM)doobersnack Wrote: Thanks for the information. Then they added it to the 15.x drivers several years ago after many people requested it, and it did work for some laptop screens but not others. I don't know if it's related to the driver version or certain hardware. 06-13-2024, 04:07 PM (Last edited: 06-13-2024, 04:08 PM by Hixxyz) RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) I have a 1440p monitor and want to get 1720x1080 res in fortnite but when i do all the steps the cru doesnt show my fullest hz , i have 240 hz but it shows only 144. No matter what I do, from both hdmi ports all I can get is 4k 60hz 4:2:0 8 bits. Tested on LG OLED C1 and C3. Tested with a a Denon x4300 receiver. Tried deleting the 4:2:0 compatibility map but this results in only 4k 30hz available. The limited adrenaline drivers are a problem. Compared to Nvidia drivers, which I'm way more used to, those seem very poorly developed. The custom resolution on AMD drivers won't actually let you try any resolution it feels like your display might not support. So, is there any workaround this? I don't know why this is so restrictive. If I could get 4k 60hz RGB /YCbCr 4:4:4 I would be happy to keep it.No need to try 4k 120hz. And as a bonus I tried a USB-C -> HDMI adapter and got as far as 4k 100hz 4:2:2 but this adapter
